This elegant and refined red wine born from the best selection of Montepulciano grapes especially from the Aglianico grapes coming from the Ramitello vineyard at Campomarino. The blend is made by a 80% of Montepulciano grapes and a 20% of Aglianico. The production area is the DOC one in Molise at Ramitello internationally famous for its clay soil disposed at 100 meters above the sea level. The harvest takes place at the end of October. The wine making process follow the traditional method with the maceration on peels for about 1 month. It follows the natural malolactic fermentation and finally the aging in oak barrels and then in stainless steel tanks. At the end there are 6 months of bottle maturing.

The Ramitello Rosso DOC wine has a soft and velvety taste with a perfect fusion between the prune, the autumns leaves and leather hints together with licorice. It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections.

The Ramitello of the Di Majo Norante winery is perfect with rich and structured courses such as white and red meats in humid or grilled as for example the furred and feathered game beyond the moldy and aged cheeses. It has to be served at 18°C in Grand Ballon wine glasses after a short settling time in a crystal decanter.
