Wine description

Franz Haas's Pinot Noir Schweizer is born in selected vineyards located in areas particularly suited to Pinot Noir cultivation in South Tyrol, characterized by strong temperature variations and soils that favor elegance and aromatic finesse. Production follows a philosophy of great attention in the vineyard, with low yields and manual harvesting of the grapes at the perfect degree of ripeness. Winemaking takes place with controlled macerations and fermentation in wooden vats, followed by aging in barriques that helps integrate structure and complexity without overpowering the grape variety's character.

 


Characteristics of this South Tyrolean wine

From an organoleptic point of view, wine stands out for its expressive refinement. On the nose, clear scents of cherry, small red fruits and currants emerge, intertwining with spicy notes and light tertiary nuances reminiscent of leather and undergrowth with evolution. In the mouth it is elegant and harmonious, supported by fine and well-smoothed tannins, with a freshness that gives momentum to the drink and a structure that guarantees its depth and ability to evolve over time.

In gastronomic pairings it finds its maximum expression with structured but elegant dishes, such as feather game, roasted or sauce-based red meats and mushroom preparations. It also lends itself very well to aged cheeses, where its aromatic fineness and balanced tannic texture manage to create a particularly successful harmony.
