This Friulian red wine from Zorzettig Winery is made from pure cabernet franc grapes grown in the estate's vineyards on the Colline di Spessa di Cividale: here, the soils are rich in marl and sandstone and contribute to the production of wines with an elegant, fresh flavour. After manual harvesting of the bunches of grapes, destemming and then soft pressing begins; this is followed by fermentation in steel with the use of selected yeasts at a controlled temperature. Finally, the final stage of refinement takes place with 5 months in steel on the yeasts followed by another month in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
It presents an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. Notes of red fruits, herbs and flowers emerge on the olfactory profile. The palate is pleasantly fresh and elegant, with good persistence.
