The renowned Fontanafredda winery of Serralunga D'Alba in Piedmont, produces this sensational label of langhe Nebbiolo DOC through the vinification of 100% pure Nebbiolo grapes. The production area is the hills of the Langhe and Roero. The vinification foresees that the must obtained with traditional fermentation carried out in stainless steel tanks with floating cap, with an average duration of 7-8 days at a controlled temperature of 28ºC. Finally, the wine is aged in wood for at least 8 months and then in bottle for a period of at least 2 - 3 months. The peak of aging is reached after 3-4 years from the harvest, but varies, also significantly, depending on the characteristics of the different vintages.
Characteristics of this Langhe Nebbiolo Doc
To the aspect evidenced by the organoleptic examination the wine has a garnet red color. The most intense scent of dried flowers, such as rose and especially geranium. The taste is warm, soft, full, velvety and harmonious, with good persistence.
