The name of the wine contains in a few, but precise expressions, the history, tradition and authenticity of a land, that of the Marches, always great protagonist of wine production. So let’s go in order. Lacrima, derives from the characteristic of the lacrima vine, that is to emit droplets of juice from the ripe berries; this grape is endowed with a thick but very delicate skin, subject to cracks during the final phases of the maturation of the bunch. Morro D'alba, instead, recalls the place of origin and production; "Morro" comes from the pre-Roman word "murr", which means high ground, rock or heap of stones. The term "dawn" refers to the rising of the sun and means towards the East. The name would therefore mean Campo Sassoso to the East. The vine used for its vinification is 100% pure Lacrima. The origin of the vines falls in the full DOC area, is produced only in the region of Marche, precisely in the province of Ancona and in the municipalities of Morro D'Alba. These hilly areas, surrounded by greenery and protagonists of very suggestive images, enjoy a very privileged position; the proximity to the sea in fact, positively influences the climate of the territory, giving the grape unique notes of freshness and flavor. The harvest takes place manually during the first ten days of October. The vinification involves the use of the traditional method in red on stainless steel tanks. Then follows the aging of 3 months in bottle.
