Valpolicella Classico Ripasso "Le Morete" DOC is a red wine produced from the Winery Manara . It’s considered by many the “little brother” of the most popular Amarone. Grapes used to produce it are: Corvina 70%, Rondinella 20% ,Molinara 5% and other varieties 5%. The aging of this wine is made in barrels of Slavonian oak and French oak barrels and has a duration of approximately 12 months, after which the wine continues its aging in bottle for 6 months.
Characteristics of this red wine
Its color is deep ruby almost garnet red, with a subtle orange vein, due to the long ageing. In taste it is complex, balanced and slightly tannic. The aroma is surprising to amplitude and intensity blending notes of plums, black cherries, pepper and ginger.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine
Serve in large glasses of crystal at a temperature of 16-18°C, it is advisable to open the bottle some minutes before drinking.
