La Segreta takes its name from the wood that surrounds our vineyard called Ulmo. This young and fresh wine is produced mainly with Nero d’ Avola grapes, blended with other international varieties that give him style and personality. All the plants are cultivated in the vineyards owned by Planeta. This fabulous wine is perfect for every occasion. This blend that truly represents Sicily and Planeta family, is composed by 50% Nero d’ Avola, 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc. The soft pressing is followed by 14 days maceration on skins at 25°C and aging in inox tanks.
Features of the "La Segreta" Il Rosso DOC wine
The organoleptic analysis shows an intense ruby red colour. Its perfume recalls currant, mulberry and spicy sensations in the final. The taste is balanced and classy, sue to its balanced acidity.

Excellent dishes of the mediterranean kitchen, like main dishes, light white meat, vegetables and fish. It should be drunk young. It can be aged in the bottle 2-3 years maximum. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, tapered wine glass.
