A sensational blend composed by the same percentages of different vine varieties: Petit Verdot, Syrah, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested and worked all together, in the same day, except for Cabernet Sauvignon, that matures later. 10 days alcoholic fermentation and maceration in steel, followed by malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels. The aging is developed in French oak barriques for 18 months. After the assembly, a long period of maturation in the bottle is planned.
Features of the white wine “Grande Cuvée Kermesse”
Ruby red colour with purple reflections. Its scent is important and differentiated: toasted tobacco, pepper, chocolate, wild fruits and dried figures. The taste is strong, powerful, elegant, harmonious, with important tannins that goes on well with the defined structure of the wine. Excellent final, great persistence.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this red wine
A structured and important wine of the tradition of Trentino. “Kermesse” by Elena Walch is a red wine that is ideal for second dishes like game, especially braised. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass that helps oxygenation.
