From the renowned Perusini winery in Friuli, a White wine called Friulano today; is the traditional Friulian wine par excellence, with a strong personality and typicality. Of good structure, with a harmonious fruity and mineral complexity, it reveals a characteristic bitter almond aftertaste. The classification is the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali and the territory of origin is that of Monte S. Biagio, where the lands owned by the Perusini family reside. The territory is characterized by the typical Ponca, Argilla, The exposure of the vineyards is optimal and points to the South East The variety of grapes used is that of Friulano 100% pure. Breeding takes place with the Guyot technique. For vinification, the grapes are gently destemmed and left to macerate for a short period. Subsequently it is softly pressed and the must obtained is clarified by decantation. The must then ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. At the end of fermentation the wine is kept on the lees in stainless steel containers for six months. Bottled wine is normally stored in heat-conditioned rooms for about two months.
Characteristics of Friulano white wine
In appearance it has a canary yellow color with beautiful green reflections. Intense and brilliant. The scent is rich and multi-faceted, characterized by floral and tropical notes, oleander flowers, elderflower, manna ash and plum are recognizable together with gooseberry and kiwi; hints of white rose, butcher's sprouts, honey and cream ice cream. The taste is full, fresh, sapid; evolves into a pleasant tone. Hints of apricot, kiwi, cranberries, medlar, almond milk, coriander and a balsamic note of mallow.

This Friulian wine is excellent as an aperitif, it goes perfectly with cured ham, salami and sausages in general; it also pleasantly accompanies fish dishes and fresh cheeses. Should be served at 10°C maximum 12°C.
