Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG by winery San Quirico is an excellent red wine, perfect for many occasions. Grapes that give life to this red wine are 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino, Merlot and Canaiolo. Bunches are harvested and selected then fermentation occurs for 12 days at a temperature of 27-29°C. After fermentation, wine is refined for 7-8 months in oak barrels in the underground cellars of winery. Then, after bottling, wine will age for 6 months in cellar, at a controlled temperature.
Characteristics of Chianti Colli Senesi
It presents a ruby almost garnet red colour. Balanced and slightly tannic in taste.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine
It should be served in a wide crystal glass at a temperature of 16-18°C. Some minutes of decantation are enough to bring out its qualities. It can be paired with typical courses of Tuscany tradition, grilled meat, white meat and aged cheeses
