This wine testifies the renovation of Sicily and the will to build a healthy competition in the production of this noble wine variety. Its history began in 1985, but today Chardonnay Planeta truly represents its island. The grapes come from unique the unique vineyards of Ulmo and Maroccoli. The fermentation and the aging in French wood give us a graceful a powerful wine. The soft pressing and the elimination of stalks is followed by static decanting. Its fermentation is managed at 18°C in barriques. 10 months aging with batonnage every 10 days. 50% of the barrels is new, while the other half is of 2nd and 3rd passage.

Features of the Chardonnay Sicilia Menfi DOC wine

Light gold yellow colour, but clear and shiny. Its perfume recalls peach, apple, vanilla cream and hazelnut. The taste is full-bodied, soft and creamy. Due to its acidity, it is fresh and persistent.
