Named after the Roman Cigognola, a municipality in the Oltrepò Pavese area where the Monterucco Winery is located, this reserve red wine is made from a blend of Croatina, Barbera, and Cabernet grapes. The vineyards are located approximately 150 meters above sea level, with a southwest exposure. After manual harvesting in the first half of October, the grapes are vinified on the skins and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The final stage is spent aging in barriques for two years, followed by bottle aging.
