From the vinification of 100% pure Nebbiolo grapes. The origin is that of Piedmont, in the heart of the DOCG area. Harvest by hand preceded by the thinning of the excess bunches at the end of summer. Vinification in steel tanks and then 17/18 days of maceration in contact with the skins and soft wetting of the cap with the "shower" system at a temperature between 32 and 27 ° C. Malolactic fermentation in steel. Refinement develops for a minimum of 3 years, matures 24 months in medium and large capacity barrels before refining in the bottle The products of this winery only in exceptional vintages in a limited number of bottles and sold only on assignment.

 

Barolo Tortoniano DOCG Michele Chiarlo’s features

A garnet color with brilliant luminous reflections. The scent has a range of aromas with notes of red fruit, wisteria, lilac, mint, juniper and assorted spices. The taste is elegant, fine, alluring, velvety thanks to a soft tannin. It closes with a long finish, characterized by a slightly spicy aftertaste.
