From the vinification in purity of Nebbiolo grapes skilfully bred within the business areas of the Ratti winery, a renowned Piedmont winery operating in the Alba area. Territory with a strong wine vocation. The harvest takes place at the end of September at the beginning of October to ensure the grapes of Nebbiolo the right degree of ripeness. The subsequent vinification involves a destemming-crushing and a subsequent alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 30ºC. The average duration of maceration extends for about 7-10 days; then the malolactic fermentation in November is completely carried out in wood. The wine ages for about two years in French oak barrels and 25 hectolitre barrels.

The appearance has a garnet red color. The delicate and persistent with a typically "balsamic" scent of liquorice and mint. The taste is full, warm and pleasantly tannic.
