Podere San Giuseppe, an old stone farmhouse on the Fattoria Mantellassi, gave its name to this selection of Morellino di Scansano DOCG. For its vinification, 85% Sangiovese grapes, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Ciliegiolo grapes are used in blends. The production takes place in the company area of Magliano in Toscana. The vinification follows the traditional red method in stainless steel tanks. The maturation and refinement takes place in the month of January following the harvest. The best batches of Morellino, produced in the vintage, are selected and placed in small French oak barrels for about six months. After a few months' refinement in the bottle, the wine has excellent organoleptic characteristics: a fine and excellent vinous aroma, soft and balanced and a sensation of freshness and pleasant taste.
