The Barbaresco wine of the Massucco winery is produced in Castagnito Roero on the hills of the Cuneo province. This territory is located closer to Liguria and with the limit of the Asti province in Piedmont. This territory is at 350 meters above the sea level with a soil which is clay with evident layers of marl and sand. The vines are exposed at South-west and the cultivation method is the espalier and the pruning is the French guyot which is optimal for the vines of 35 years old. The average annual profit is 80 quintals and it takes place the destemming to increase the quality of the grapes. There is a fermentation period in steel tanks and a following refinement in bottles for 4 months. The final refinement lasts 12 months in oak barrels.

It has a garnet red color with orange reflections. The scent is intense, pleasant with marked spicy aromas. The taste is pleasant too, dry, full and harmonic with a great roundness.
