Wine description
From the vineyards in Manduria in the heart of Primitivo DOC, comes this red wine from the Vespa Vignaioli Winery. The grapes used are pure Primitivo grapes, hand-picked towards the end of September. Fermentation in steel takes place with maceration in contact with the skins for about ten days: once the malolactic process is over, the wine ages for 6 months in Never and Tronçais barriques and is then bottled.
Characteristics of this Salento wine
It has a ruby red color with purple highlights. The olfactory notes recall cherry, cinnamon and hints of chocolate. On the palate it is elegant, fruity, with a dense tannic texture and a long, persistent finish.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Salento
Perfect with red meat or game dishes. Serve at 18-20°C.
