This Primitivo di Manduria red wine comes from the company vineyards of Salento. The grapes harvested manually in light overripeness are then subjected to destemming-pressing and then maceration for approximately 12 days, at controlled temperature. Once the racking phase and malolactic fermentation in steel are also completed, the final stage of aging in American and French oak barriques is reached for 12 months.
Characteristics of this Primitivo of Manduria
It has a deep ruby red color with purple highlights. The scent is very intense, particularly fruity, with olfactory notes reminiscent of blackberry and cherry. On the palate it is velvety, pleasantly tannic and with great persistence.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Puglia
Excellent with risottos, baked pasta, red meats, lamb and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18°C.
