Passito di Goldmuskateller Sissi CANTINA DI MERANO MERAN

From the selection of Moscato Giallo grapes with a small part of Traminer Aromatico. The origin is the classic one of the Merano area. The harvest is restricted to a few vineyards where the grapes can ripen on the vines until late autumn, when the leaves begin to fall. During this long maturation, through the natural process of evaporation, the bunches lose volume and weight, while their sugar content increases. In case of favorable weather conditions, an absolutely harmless noble rot forms on the grapes, which gives the wine an exceptional aroma. The vinification follows where the hand-picked grapes are left to dry in small boxes for 2 months. Alcoholic fermentation follows and maturation on the final yeasts in steel and tonneaux for 12 months.

Passito di Goldmuskateller Meran’s features

A bright straw yellow colour with musky reflections. The scent is rich, with notes that recall citrus fruits, rose petals, apricots and vanilla. The taste has a sweet, mellow and persistent flavor in the finish.

Aperitif and dessert wine, aged cheese and typical South Tyrolean desserts, such as apricot Canederli or Strudel. The optimal serving temperature is 8°C.
