From the vineyards of Montefalco, Umbria, comes this red wine from Cecchi Winery, made from pure Sagrantino grapes. The vineyards located at an altitude of 350 m above sea level enjoy medium-textured soils with a good clay component. Following the harvest, vinification is carried out in red, with maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature. This is followed by fermentation at a temperature of 27C° for about 15 days. Finally, ageing takes place in barriques for 12 months and a further 8 months in bottles.
Characteristics of this Cecchi wine
It has a bright red colour and a very intense and complex olfactory profile, characterised by spicy notes. On the palate it impresses with its ample structure and good persistence in the finish.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent with meat dishes, from starters to main courses. Also try it with medium-aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18C°.
