This Sicilian BIO wine from the Baglio di Pianetto winery is born at Tenuta Pianetto located in Santa Cristina Gela, in the province of Palermo: the grapes used for its production are 100% Insolia and are grown on soils very rich in minerals and clay, located at an altitude of 700 m above sea level. The harvest takes place in September and after careful selection of the grapes, the process moves on to soft pressing, with steel fermentation. This is followed by aging on the yeasts, always in steel, for a duration of 3 months and finally in the bottle for 2 months.
Characteristics of this Sicilian white wine
On organoleptic examination it appears straw yellow in colour and with olfactory notes reminiscent of Sicilian zagare and floral notes. On the palate there is a distinct mineral vein and it is distinguished by a certain freshness.
Recommended pairings with this Sicilian white wine
Perfect for a summer dinner of fish, shellfish or fried foods. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C in a tapered glass.
