“Radici” is the result of studies that want to find the best cooperation between vine variety and territory. Its complexity is enhanced by an unusual density for a white wine, that gives him substance: a return to the “origins” (“Radici” = roots, origins). Its label reproduces some details of a painting of Maria Micozzi, realized on a vault of the aging room. Its denomination, “Fiano d’ Avellino DOCG”, considers the single use of this variety, pure 100%. The vines are cultivated in the estate Santo Stefano del Sole, where the lands have a south-west orientation. The soils here are deep and rich of mineral elements, with a perfect draining of water and an elevation of 550 meters above the sea level. Espaliers with Guyot training produce, with its 4000 stumps, around 60 quintals per hectare. The vineyard is 15 years old and its harvest is managed manually at the end of October, as the tradition requires. The wine making process is the classic white one, with steel containers and controlled temperature. The aging in the bottle lasts for 3 max 4 months.
