This red wine from Pico Maccario winery comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, grown on soils rich in limestone and sands located at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level. Manual harvesting requires a meticulous choice of the best bunches which are then subjected to the crushing-destemming phase. Then the traditional vinification takes place with maceration for about 15-18 days and finally the refinement in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 8 months with a further 12 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this wine from Piedmont
The organoleptic test shows an intense ruby red color with garnet hues. The olfactory bouquet evokes spices, undergrowth and vanilla; on the palate it has a long persistence and is velvety and harmonious.
