This Alghero Torbato Spumante Rosé Brut from the Sardinian Sella&Mosca Winery comes from the blend of Torbato grapes with a native red grape variety: the vines are located on soils rich in limestone, located near the city of Alghero. The harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September and the aim is a careful selection of the best grapes characterized by a certain acidity, a fundamental element for sparkling winw. Then follows the vinification process with soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation at a controlled temperature and creation of the cuvée in an autoclave. Refinement takes place on the lees for about 60 days.
Characteristics of this Sardinian Rosé sparkling wine
Upon organoleptic examination this sparkling wine shows a pale pink color and a fine bubble. The nose, on the other hand, recalls floral but above all fruity notes such as peach, cherry and citrus. On the palate it shows first of all a strong acid vein but it is also balanced and soft.
