Petraluce was born in 2012. The idea comes from the need to enhance the white grape varieties of the area. The vine originates from the Itria Valley, where it was bottled in Rhenish-style bottles. In the past it was a fairly neutral grape variety, which was mainly used to make Vermouth. The processing in reduction from oxidation of the grapes from this vine allows instead to bring out very delicate and elegant notes. Verdeca is characterized by the greenish reflections that distinguish the wine especially in the first months of bottling. The name Petraluce evokes our territory, with the famous white stone and its very intense light. The grape variety used for its vinification is 100% pure Verdeca. The origin is the classic one of Puglia. The vinification starts after a fermentation in steel, then wine refines on its own yeasts for a few months, before being bottled.
