One of the finest wines of the Cusumano Winery that is produced at Tenuta Ficuzza. The name Salealto has a double meaning: the imprint that salt gives to this wine but also the altitude at which the vineyards are located at around 700 m above sea level. This white wine is born from a blend of Insolia, Grillo and Zibibbo grapes, used in equal parts: the result is a wine with a strong territorial identity. Winemaking takes place with separate alcoholic fermentation in steel for the two varieties while the final aging phase takes place in steel for a period of 10 months.
Characteristics of this Sicilian wine
It has a bright straw yellow color with bright reflections. The olfactory notes recall sage, Mediterranean scrub, and saline notes. On the palate it is fresh, aromatic and pleasantly salty.
