Pinot Grigio Ramato COLBAJÈ DOC TUNELLA

This white wine from Cantina Tunella comes from the use of pure Pinot Grigio grapes from the hills of Eastern Friuli: the vineyards benefit from soils rich in marl and sandstone known as "ponche". The bunches are harvested by hand during the harvest in the third week of September: the grapes are harvested at the right level of ripeness, then macerated for a couple of days and pressed. The must is cold decanted and then the yeasts are added to it, to trigger fermentation. Dofo fermentation and aging sur lies at controlled temperature leads to a final period of rest and aging in the bottle.

Characteristics of this wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia

It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The olfactory notes are very intense, with hints of pear, apricot and almond. On the palate it is enveloping, balanced and pleasantly mineral.

Recommended pairings with this wine from Tunella

Excellent with dishes based on mushrooms, white meats and fish. Serve at 6-8°C.
