The Zymé winery produces this fantastic DOP wine named Oseleta in the Verona province. The vine used for its production is the Oseleta at 100%. This is a local wine from Veneto coming from a soil with peculiar sugary features that creates bodied and structured wines perfect to be joined to the traditional Italian courses. The cultivation takes place in Illasi and Lavagno hamlets in the Verona province on calcareous and clay soils. Firstly it takes place the destemming and pressing of the fresh grapes previously selected; it follows the fermentation for 15 days on local yeasts. Then there is the barrel aging for at least 36 months and a final year of bottle aging.
Characteristics of this red wine from Veneto
It has a crimson color almost purple with intense garnet reflections that emerges from the aging. It has great aromatic fragrances, with mineral aromas. It has also some red wild fruits flavor such as blackberry, blueberry and currant. It acquires some graphite and ground hints with the aging. The taste is powerful for its acidity and for the impressive component of tannins. The sip is enveloping and complex: the fruits together with the mineral taste expresses power and richness. It is persistent and well balanced.
