The fourth edition of “Artisti per Frescobaldi”, a contemporary art award created by the family in 2012, continues with the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG born inside the Castelgiocondo estate, the historic Frescobaldi estate in Montalcino, one of the first four properties where, in 1800, the production of Brunello began. The wine is born from a very rigorous selection of Sangiovese grapes, grown with scrupulous respect for all the characteristics necessary to enhance it. Thus, after slow maturation both in barriques and large barrels, a wine of excellent structure is born, elegant, balanced, with intense aromas and great finesse. Francesco Arena, an artist from Puglia born in 1978, always starts from history to create his works, analyzing in particular little-known and sometimes forgotten political and social events, which take on new life within his sculptures. The label signed by Arena is the story in words, arranged in a circular order, backwards or vertically, of the prize announced by Frescobaldi and how the artist related to it.
