Vulkà Etna Rosso of the Nicosia Sicilian winery is made by a blend of 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio grapes that give an elegant drinkability. This wine has an extraordinary character and mineral taste. The cultivation soil is sandy, rich of minerals and they are located at 650-750 meters above the sea level. The cultivation method is the trellised with the cordon spur pruning. The manual picking takes place during the second-third week of October and it follows the cold maceration for 24 hours. It follows the fermentation for around 10-15 days at 22-24°C. Finally, it takes place the refinement in steel with a short passage in barrels, and finally 5-6 months of bottle aging.
Characteristics of the Etna Rosso DOC wine
This Sicilian wine has a ruby red color. The smell is wide with an aromatic profile with floral, red fruits and spicy aromas. The taste is mineral and balanced, with light tannins which make the wine round, structured with a long fruity end.

It is perfect with roasted meats, cheeses or flavored fishes. The ideal service temperature is 18°C in wide wine glasses.
