The Barbaresco BRIC MICCA DOCG 2020 from Cantina Dante Rivetti is a wine of extraordinary elegance born from pure Nebbiolo grapes from the Bric Micca vineyard, near Neive. The red grapes are gently destemmed and pressed, and fermentation takes place strictly at a controlled temperature, with frequent reassemblies. The Barberesco thus refines for 24 months between large Slavonian barrels and French oak barriques, with a further 12 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a deep ruby red color with garnet hues. The olfactory notes recall violet and rosehip, ripe black fruits, tobacco, sweet spices and roasting notes. On the palate it is large-bodied, with a firm but fine tannic texture. The finish is persistent, with a long spicy and mineral trail.
Recommended pairings with this Piedmontese red wine
Try it with braised meats, roasts, mushroom or radicchio risotto, cut beef, and hard-cured cheeses. Serve at 18°C.
