This red wine from the Piedmontese winery La Spinetta comes from the Bordini vineyard in Neive from which it takes its name. The south-east facing vineyards are located at 240 m above sea level, on calcareous marly soils, rich in light sands. The pure Nebbiolo grapes are subjected to pygia-diraspatura and then macerated and alcoholic fermented in steel at a controlled temperature for about ten days. We proceed with malolactic fermentation in French oak with a long aging of 18 months. Further final bottle aging of 8 months.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a very intense ruby red color, with olfactory notes that recall fresh cherries, violets and spices. On the palate it is complex, structured, fruity and slightly balsamic. Soft tannins and with a long and elegant finish.
Recommended pairings with this red wine La Spinetta
Try with braised meats, stews, and cut beef. Also excellent with mushroom risotto. Serve at a temperature of 16-17°C.
