Amarone Classico Docg is a true classic , is the result of the wisdom of the family Allegrini, embodies the pursuit of perfection gained with years of experience and tradition, so many times awarded by Gambero Rosso and Wine Spectator. The grapes that give life to this wine are Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta. The grapes are left to dry for about 4 months. Around the middle of January are crushed and follows a long fermentation in steel tanks. It is aged in wooden barrel for 18 months and in bottle for a further 14 months.
Characteristics of this Venetian wine DOCG
Its color is ruby red. The nose reminiscent of ripe fruit and wild cherries with slightly spicy notes. On the palate it is a wine of great structure, with strong hints of spice due to the long aging.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Serve in large glasses at a temperature of 18°C, it is advisable to uncork the bottle at least one hour before serving. Perfect to drink with important dishes venison, braised and grilled red meats, it is also excellent companion to oriental dishes from sweet and sour flavors.
