The important label “Valdobbiadene superiore di Cartizze DOCG” of the Villa Sandi winery belongs to the prestigious line of the company dedicated to the important occasions. The producing area is the DOCG Cartizze. This is a little hill area of 106 hectares between the Santo Stefano and San Pietro di Barbozza hamlets where is located the “La rivetta” vineyard. This cru born from a perfect sweet microclimate and a very ancient soils made of calcar and clay. These characteristics gave the award of the “Tre bicchieri Gambero Rosso” (three glasses of the Gambero Rosso).
Characteristics of this Cartizze Villa Sandi
This fantastic cru has a light straw yellow color with a lively and intense perlage which is also fine and persistent. It has a fruity and floral bouquet with apple, salad fruits and exotic fruits aromas in addition to citron. It has a persistent wisteria and acacia flower flavors. The taste is fresh, dry and austere but at the same time it is soft. It creates a soft foam which spreads the fruity aromas.
