This Rosè wine of the Puglia tradition has the IGT certification. The color comes from a white vinification with a short passage on the Primitivo peels. The production area is in San Marzano in the Salento in the deepness of Puglia. The cultivation soil are located at 100 meters above the sea level. The soil is clay, not very deep with some rocks. The density is 4500 trees per hectare. The grapes harvest takes place in the second half of September and it follows the Primitivo grapes destemmed with a maceration of some hours followed by a white maceration. There is a refinement in steel tanks and the aging period is not long in fact it can keeps its characteristics only for 2 years.
Characteristics of the Tramari Rosé of the Primitivo Salento
It has a light pink color. The smell is intense and persistent with cherry and raspberry aromas. The taste is fresh and elegant, balance with a good intensity.
