Nero d'Avola Passito "PASSO NERO" Sicilia DOC OCCHIPINTI

From the vinification of pure 100% Nero d'Avola grapes with no chemical intervention. Its origin lies in the western sicilian area. Harvest takes place during the first ten days of October. Vinification requires indigenous yeasts and maceration lasts 7 days during which the wine remains on the skins. Aging takes 16 months in 750-liter tonneau barrels and 6 months in bottle. No filtration.

Passito Terre Siciliane Passo Nero’s features

A deep and concentrated ruby red color. Very lively and fresh notes of red fruit, hints of graphite, cocoa and anise. Taste is rich, enveloping and juicy, with a not too high sugar residue that balances well with the original classic acidity of the grape.
