The Vespa Rosso is the DOC wine which better represents the winery because very careful to the local tradition. This red wine can perfectly balance power and refinement thanks to its special blend of local and international grapes used for its production. The rich taste makes it suitable for the distribution and it is also suitable for aging. The blend consists of 50% Merlot grapes, 30% of the prestigious and selected Refosco grapes, with an additional 15% of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and finally a 5% Cabernet Franc grapes. All varieties are firstly used separately in tanks of 55 liters each. The pressing is made by hand to assure delicacy in the extraction. For this reason it is used a vertical press which extracts soft tannins and reduce the friction between the peels. After a separate aging period of 18 months in Allier barrels, the varieties are mixed and they age for a further year before being distributed.
