The winery Fontanafredda, produces this sensational wine from the variety of vines typical of the Piedmontese tradition. The production area is that of the Langa. The vinification provides that the grape varieties are harvested at different times, when they are rich in acidity and fruity aromas. The bunches are destemmed, pressed and sent to the fermentation tanks, where cold maceration takes place at a temperature of 10ºC. for 24 hours. At the end of the maceration process, the skins are gently pressed and the must is decanted statically for a further 24 hours. Then the clear must is started to fermentation at a maximum temperature of 18ºC. Once the fermentation of the three wines has been completed, the assembly is carried out. The refinement of the wine is kept on fine lees for a period of three months at a temperature of 5 weeks. C to inhibit malolactic fermentation. The wine is bottled at the end of winter. Rose wine must be consumed within two years after the harvest.
Characteristics of this Rosé wine
The appearance shows a powder pink color. The bouquet is fruity with notes reminiscent of raspberry, ripe blueberry and wild strawberries. The taste is warm, soft, full, velvety and harmonious, with good persistence.
