A wine that is the result of the great passion for the territory and for the grapes, rigorously bred within the company areas. The grape variety used is 100% pure Nebbiolo. The origin is from vineyards owned by our family, located in different locations within the Barolo area. Vinification in steel. Maceration on the skins for about 30 days at rather high temperatures. Aging in French and Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months and a small part in barriques.
Barolo DOCG Pio Cesare’s features
Ruby red in color, with garnet hues. The bouquet on the nose is broad and pleasantly complex; it expresses itself, in particular, with hints of wild berries in jam and citrus peel, balsamic notes and hints of humus. The taste on the palate is soft, vigorous, balanced in tannins and excellent persistence.
