The Barbera d’Alba Nonna Rosin is inspired to the family tradition of the Massucco winery produced in Castagnito di Roero in the Cuneo province. It is located at 350 meters above the sea level with a South-west exposition. The soil is clay with evident layers of marl and sand which is a clear sign of the water that once slid from there. The cultivation method is the espalier and the pruning is the French guyot which is optimal for the vines of 35 years old. The average annual profit is 80 quintals and it takes place the destemming for a better harvest. It takes place the pressing and destemming of the grapes that has to macerate in horizontal steel tanks with a following batonnage in wood tanks. The refinement takes place in big oak barrels for maximum 1 year.
