MACULAN

Maculan family has selected the best grapes of Breganze, a wonderful village located at the base of plateau of Asiago, since three generations. This place is ideal for viticulture due to the temperate climate and to the fertility of the lands, that contributes to the perfect maturation of both local and international vine varieties. Tai, Friulano, Vespaiolo, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay found in these lands their best habitat.Everything started in the second half of the 20th Century, in 1947, when Giovanni Maculan and his son Fausto built the winery. Today the daughters of Fausto, Angela, Maria and Vittoria, help their father in the management of the company, that continues to produce wines with personality, always elegant and with a great predisposition to longevity. Their products are the true ambassadors of their lands, that are spread around Vicenza, covering an area of 40 hectares. 20 hectares are owned by the property, the others are rented. The grapes, with their excellent quality, are cultivated on volcanic soils mainly composed by gravel and tuff.The vine making is manages in the historical rooms of the winery, located in the heart of Breganze. The winery joins the most innovating techniques to tradition, giving 700k label per year, that correspond to the names of “Dindarello”, “Brentino”, Crosara”, “Madoro”, “Ferrata” and “Trevolti”, only to mention some of them.Maculan produces fabulous wines that represent the excellence of the territory of Breganze and of the entire area of Vicenza
