Made exclusively from Verdicchio grapes grown on the eastern slopes of the Alta Valle Esina sub-valleys at the foot of Monte San Vicino, in the hinterland of the province of Macerata, this white wine from the Belisario winery in the Marche region comes from hillside vineyards planted on clayey-calcareous soils at an altitude of 360 metres above sea level. After harvesting the grapes, thermo-controlled white vinification and cold static decanting of the must take place, followed by fermentation at 13°C for about 25 days and finally maturation in steel for 5 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Belisario Winery
It has a straw yellow colour and an aroma reminiscent of green apple, peach, lime blossom, sage and lime. On the palate, it is intense, persistent and smooth with a citrus aftertaste.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from the Marche region
Try it with fish dishes: steamed appetisers, sushi, fried fish or baked fish. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
