This wonderful wine of the Petra winery is in the San Lorenzo Alto area. It is located at 50 meters above the sea level. The vineyard is the Syrah and the cultivation soil is made of clay, sand and some limestone. It is cultivated with the Guyot method with a density of 6000 trees per hectare and the vineyard is 16 years old and it can achieve a profit of 80 quintals. After the vinification the wine has an aging period of 18 months in wood barrels new at the 20%. There is a further bottle aging period of 18 months. The wine “Colle al Fico” took its name by vineyard which has found in the Cornia valley the perfect climate conditions to be cultivated. The wines are floral, powerful and strong. The grape harvest is manual and the grapes are carried in boxes to avoid the fermentation process. In the cellar, it takes place the second selection. The alcoholic fermentation is preceded by a cold maceration to facilitate the extraction of the fruity smells typical of the red berries. The maceration takes place in oak for 25 days on peels. The fermentation temperature is 27-29°C and finally it takes place the malolactic fermentation in wood.

It has an intense ruby red color. The smell has spicy and fruity aromas with a vanilla hint that underline the right acidity and alcohol. The taste is dry, wide, structured and mineral with an exaltation of the freshness.
