Bocelli 1831 Alcide Toscana Rosso IGT is one of the most representative wines of the Bocelli family's production, directly linked to the historic vineyards located in Tuscany, in the Lajatico area. This wine takes its name from grandfather Alcide and was created with the aim of maximizing the potential of the area through a high quality approach. It is obtained from pure Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape variety introduced into company vineyards after studies that have demonstrated its perfect adaptability to the local terroir. Production is particularly accurate and involves careful agronomic management, with low yields and small, concentrated bunches. Winemaking is distinguished by long macerations but at controlled temperatures, so as to extract structure and complexity without excess. The wine then undergoes a long refinement in wood, between barriques and pièce, followed by a further period in the bottle. This process allows you to obtain a deep, elegant wine that is also suitable for aging.
Characteristics of this Tuscan wine
On organoleptic examination it appears with a deep, intense red color. On the nose, it expresses a complex and elegant profile, with notes of black fruits such as blackberry and currant, accompanied by hints of licorice, woodland nuances, and a well-defined mineral component; with evolution, delicate balsamic notes, such as eucalyptus, also emerge. On the palate, it's structured but not overpowering, with soft, well-integrated tannins; freshness and saltiness support the sip, making it dynamic and harmonious, with a long, lingering finish.
