Sforzato di Valtellina "1946" from Plozza winery is a celebratory bottle to remember the date of production of the first Sforzato di Valtellina, precisely 1946. After the strictly manual harvest, the grapes are left to dry, as usual on mats, before being pressed; subsequently the wine is left to age in large chestnut barrels for 10 years.

Characteristics of the Sforzato 1946

The wine has an intense red color with garnet reflections. The nose enters strongly with its scents of tobacco and leather. In the mouth it is majestic, dry and with refined tannins.

Excellent with traditional dishes from Valtellina such as pizzoccheri and polenta taragna; to try alone. Serve in large glasses to promote oxygenation at a temperature of 18°C.
