Wine description
This Salento red wine from Due Palme Winery is made from 100% Primitivo grapes harvested by hand during September. After harvesting, the grapes are macerated in vats and then the wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barriques. The final stage in the production process of this Primitivo Salento IGP wine is further ageing in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has a very intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. The bouquet is an explosion of ripe fruit and spices. On the palate, it is velvety with well-defined but pleasant tannins.
Recommended pairings with this Salento red wine
Try it with meat dishes or mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
