This Friulian red wine from Ronchi di Cialla Winery is produced with 100% Pignolo grapes grown in the Cialla Valley in Prepotto, Udine. The manual harvest takes place in mid-October, followed by the maceration phase for 20 days with daily pumping over and the use of indigenous yeasts. The must rests in French rover and Slavonian oak barriques for a period of 30 months with a further 20 months of bottle aging.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
On the organoleptic examination this Pignolo shows a ruby red color with violet reflections with olfactory notes reminiscent of red fruits, with spicy and balsamic veins. On the palate the tannins are soft with a well balanced acidity and a good persistence.
