The Sosta Tre Santi Nero d’Avola is the Cru of the Contrada Bonicontro estate in Vittoria. It born from a blend with a little percentage of Syrah grapes. The careful selection of the grapes, the slow maceration and the log aging time make this wine a real structured one with a rich and remarkable aroma. The blend used is 85% Nero d’Avola and 15% Syrah. The cultivation soil is sandy and the cultivation method is the trellised with cordon spur pruning. The sandy soils of the cultivation are located at 200-250 meters above the sea level. The picking takes place in September and it is manual. The cold maceration lasts 24 hours and it follows the fermentation on peels for 3 weeks at 22°C. The aging takes place in French oak barrels for 12 months and 12 months in bottle.
