Wine description
Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG, by Cantina Poggio Lungo winery, is surely a demanding Morellino. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels and lasts for 16 or 22 months. This wine is released on the market only after a year of bottle refining.
Characteristics of Morellino di Scansano Riserva
It presents a very intense ruby red colour. Its bouquet releases at first mature fruits and spices notes. Rich, structured and full-bodied in taste.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine from Tuscany
It should be served in a broad crystal wine glass at a temperature of 16-18°C. We suggest to uncork the bottle at least 2 hours before drinking, in order to enhance its qualities. It can be paired with all traditional dishes of Tuscan tradition, tortelli with meat sauce and boar meat.
