From the vineyards of Monforte d'Alba come the pure Nebbiolo grapes used to produce this red wine from Piedmont. The soils are silty and have a good presence of sand and limestone, the exposure of the vineyards is south, southwest, southeast and with an altitude ranging from 300 to 450 m above sea level. After manually harvesting the bunches around mid-October, maceration and alcoholic fermentation are carried out in temperature-controlled steel, resulting in malolactic fermentation in wood. The final refinement phase takes place in French oak wood and steel.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a ruby red color with purple highlights. On the nose it strikes with olfactory notes of violet, wild fruit, cherry and spices. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with fragrant and juicy notes and delicate tannins.
